Guests confirm attendance with a single tap directly in WhatsApp. No browser, no form, no app to download. Their response is recorded instantly in your dashboard.

How it works

When you send an RSVP request, each guest receives a WhatsApp message with interactive reply buttons:
  • Attending — 1 Person
  • Attending — 2 Persons (and up to 9 persons)
  • Unable to Attend
The guest taps once. Weddingkart records the response and headcount immediately. An automated thank-you message fires back to the guest — no action needed from you.

Why buttons outperform forms

Sending a Google Form link over WhatsApp is the most common RSVP approach — and the one with the lowest completion rate. The form requires guests to switch apps, wait for a page to load, fill in fields, and tap Submit. Each step is a moment where guests drop off. WhatsApp reply buttons remove every one of those steps. Everything happens inside WhatsApp, with no typing and no loading. Response rates with button-based RSVP consistently reach 75–85%, compared to 40–50% with Google Forms. Buttons also work for guests of all ages and phone types — anyone who can read WhatsApp can tap a button.

Send an RSVP request

1

Go to Announcements

Open the Weddingkart app and tap Announcements in the main menu.
2

Create a new announcement

Tap Create Announcement and select the RSVP Request category.
3

Choose a template

Pick a ready-made RSVP template from the list. If none of the existing templates fit your needs, you can request a custom template from the Weddingkart team.
4

Attach your wedding card (optional)

Attach your wedding card as an image or PDF. This appears above the RSVP buttons in the guest’s WhatsApp message.
5

Select recipients

Choose individual guests, or select a guest group (for example, Bride’s Side or Outstation Guests).
6

Send or schedule

Tap Send to deliver immediately, or choose a date and time to schedule the message for later.

Track responses

1

Open the RSVP dashboard

Go to the Wedding Homepage and tap the RSVP tile.
2

Review response counts

Responses are grouped into three categories: Attending, Not Attending, and Not Answered. Headcounts update in real time as guests tap their buttons.
3

Export to a spreadsheet

Tap Sync to export all RSVP data to Google Sheets. The sheet includes guest name, response, headcount, and response date. You can also download an Excel file for offline use.

Send reminders

To follow up with guests who haven’t responded, resend the RSVP announcement. Instead of sending to your entire guest list, target only non-respondents using the auto-created RSVP: Not Answered group. Guests who already confirmed will not receive a second request. The RSVP: Not Answered group updates in real time — the moment a guest responds, they leave the group automatically.
Sending a second RSVP message to the Not Answered group typically pushes total response rates to around 90%.

Best practices

  • Send your RSVP request at least 3–4 weeks before the event to give guests enough time to respond.
  • Follow up with a reminder 1 week after the initial message.
  • After exporting, share the RSVP list and headcount totals with your catering and seating teams.
RSVP collection is included in the Standard plan. It is not available in the Basic plan.
