Quick Answer
What is Weddingkart, in one line?
Weddingkart is a WhatsApp-native platform for wedding invites, one-tap RSVPs, multi-ceremony guest messaging, and travel/ID collection — sent through the official WhatsApp Business API, not a personal number or browser automation.

Getting started
Set up the team, import the list, and test the guest journey without learning WhatsApp infrastructure.
Do I need a dedicated WhatsApp Business number?
No dedicated number is required for the standard Weddingkart setup. Messages can be sent through Weddingkart’s verified WhatsApp Business API sender, so your personal number is not used for bulk campaigns. If your organisation specifically wants to connect its own WhatsApp Business Account or sender identity, ask the team during onboarding because availability can depend on the current account setup.
Do guests need to install the Weddingkart app?
No. Guests receive messages, tap RSVP buttons, reply, and forward tickets or documents inside the WhatsApp they already use. The Weddingkart web and mobile apps are for the couple, family, planner, and operations team managing the wedding.
How quickly can we get started?
Most teams can create a wedding, import a guest list, and test the workflow in one sitting. Weddingkart accepts Excel and CSV data, and can work with Google Sheets in supported plans. Start with the 30 free credits to check your list, message format, RSVP flow, and team process before the main send.
Can I import an existing Excel or Google Sheets guest list?
Yes. Import Excel or CSV files and map details such as name, phone, family side, event, city, hotel, or other custom attributes. Weddingkart normalises Indian and international phone numbers and flags duplicates before they reach the live guest list. Google Sheet import and sync are included in the Standard plan.
Can multiple coordinators work on the same wedding?
Yes. Multiple team members can work from the same live wedding instead of passing different spreadsheet versions around. Planners can use shared guest attributes and segments so family leads, RSVP teams, and logistics coordinators are acting on the same underlying list.

WhatsApp and delivery
Understand the sender, approved messaging flow, tracking, scheduling, and RSVP experience.
Is Weddingkart using personal WhatsApp or browser automation?
No. Weddingkart uses the official WhatsApp Business API rather than personal-number broadcasts, browser extensions, or Web WhatsApp automation. That gives the platform approved message templates, structured buttons, and per-guest delivery events without putting your personal SIM into a bulk-sending workflow.
Can I connect my own WhatsApp Business number instead of the shared sender?
Yes. By default, messages send through Weddingkart’s own verified sender — guests see a WhatsApp channel named “Wedding Inbox,” and that number cannot be called back. If you want your own event or couple’s name to appear instead, connect your own WhatsApp Business number and go through Meta’s verification for it. All sending still has to happen inside the Weddingkart app rather than on a separate device connected to that number. Free-form messages work on a newly connected number right away — only template messages need Meta to re-approve them first, so budget a few days for that step before doing it the week of the wedding.
Does Weddingkart have an AI chatbot that answers guest questions automatically?
Yes. The WhatsApp Concierge answers routine guest questions — venue, timings, dress code, RSVP status — inside the same WhatsApp thread the guest already has open, in Hindi, English, Hinglish, and several regional languages. Anything it can’t answer is routed to a coordinator with the guest’s name and question attached, and the bot learns from that handoff so repeat questions get answered automatically next time.
What’s the difference between a template message and a free-form message?
Template messages use one of Weddingkart’s hundreds of pre-approved WhatsApp formats — fast and reliable, but your exact wording sometimes has to be adjusted to fit an approved template’s structure. Free-form messages have no restriction on text, images, PDFs, or video, but they require guest permission first: Weddingkart sends a short “there’s an update for the [couple]’s wedding” prompt with OK and STOP buttons, and tapping OK opens a 24-hour window in which the full free-form message can be delivered immediately.
Do guests have to save the sender’s number?
No. WhatsApp Business API delivery does not depend on every guest saving a planner’s number first. The host still needs to provide the correct number and obtain appropriate permission to contact the guest. First-touch messages may use approved templates in line with WhatsApp’s rules.
Can I personalise and schedule messages?
Yes. Write one message and use guest details such as name, ceremony, hotel, city, or family side to personalise it. You can send immediately or schedule reminders and event updates for a chosen date and time. Segments let you send the right note to the right group without exporting a new spreadsheet.
How do I know whether a guest received the message?
Each message is tracked per guest as sent, delivered, read, or failed. Read status depends on the guest’s own WhatsApp privacy settings. Failed messages are surfaced so your coordinator can correct an invalid number, check whether it is on WhatsApp, or retry instead of assuming every message landed.
How do one-tap RSVPs work?
The WhatsApp message arrives with buttons such as “Attending— 2 people” or “Unable to attend.” The guest taps once, without opening a form or downloading an app. Their response and headcount update in the Weddingkart dashboard, making it easy to filter confirmed, declined, and not-yet-answered guests.

Guests, events, and languages
Handle multi-event Indian weddings, UAE guests, NRI numbers, and audience-specific message variants.
Can one guest RSVP or share details on behalf of their whole family?
Yes. Group guests into households using Family Grouping in the guest list, and one tap from a single family member’s phone confirms attendance for the whole household instead of six separate replies. The WhatsApp Concierge then asks follow-up questions — meal preference, kids’ count, arrival plans — one at a time, and none of them are mandatory.
Does Weddingkart work for Indian, UAE, and international guest numbers?
Yes. Weddingkart supports Indian +91, UAE +971, and other international numbers used by NRI and destination-wedding guests. Numbers are normalised into an international format before sending, which reduces failures caused by missing or inconsistent country codes.
Can we send messages in Hindi and English?
Yes. You can author WhatsApp messages in Hindi, Hinglish, English, Arabic, and other languages and scripts supported by WhatsApp. Create different versions for different guest segments—for example, Hinglish for family, English for professional contacts, and Arabic or English for UAE-based guests.
Can I send different messages for the mehendi, sangeet, wedding, and reception?
Yes. Tag guests by ceremony and send each event’s invitation, directions, dress code, or reminder only to the relevant people. The same segmentation can separate bride’s side, groom’s side, hotel guests, VIPs, pickup groups, or any custom category in your list.
Is there a limit on the number of guests I can add?
The published plans do not cap guest-list size. The practical allowance is the number of WhatsApp messages included in your plan. A large guest list with several ceremonies and reminders will use more credits than a simple single-event list, so estimate messages per guest before sending.
Can professional planners manage more than one wedding?
Yes. Each wedding has its own workspace, list, events, messages, and operations. The Enterprise plan bundles 10 weddings and includes a shared pool of 30,000 credits, so agencies can use more credits on a large destination wedding and fewer on a smaller event.

Travel tickets and ID cards
See what the AI extracts, where human review remains essential, and how travel details become an operations roster.
Can guests share event photos through the same WhatsApp thread?
Yes. Guests send candid photos and videos to the wedding’s WhatsApp chat exactly as they normally would, and Weddingkart organises every file into a per-ceremony gallery delivered to the couple’s own Google Drive — using the narrow drive.file scope, so it can only see files it creates, never the guest’s camera roll. ID cards and travel tickets sent to the same number are automatically kept out of the candid album. WhatsApp’s own compression applies (photos around 1,600px wide, video around 720p/16MB), so treat it as bonus candid coverage alongside your photographer’s and videographer’s full-resolution files.
How does AI travel-ticket extraction work?
A guest forwards a flight or train ticket as a PDF, screenshot, boarding pass, or message in WhatsApp. Weddingkart’s AI reads fields such as flight or train number, PNR, arrival or departure time, terminal, coach, and berth, then adds the details to the guest’s profile and travel timeline. International times can be normalised to the wedding city’s time zone.
What happens if the AI cannot read a ticket?
Unreadable images and unfamiliar formats are not treated as successful. Weddingkart marks the item for review so a coordinator can enter the details manually or ask the guest for a clearer copy. This fallback keeps an uncertain extraction from silently becoming a missed pickup.
How are guest ID cards handled?
Guests can send an ID or passport copy in the same WhatsApp thread, and Weddingkart files the document and collection status against the correct guest profile for authorised wedding operations. Travel-ticket field extraction is explicitly AI-assisted. If your workflow requires automatic extraction of specific ID fields, confirm the currently supported document types during onboarding.
Does Weddingkart also help with airport pickups and driver coordination?
Yes. Travel details can feed a sorted arrival and departure timeline. Coordinators can group guests by arrival window, assign drivers and vehicles, and send day-wise schedules to drivers on WhatsApp. A spreadsheet export is available when the operations team needs a printed or offline handoff.

Privacy and security
Know what is stored, how it is protected, how long it is retained, and what hosts remain responsible for.
Is my guests’ data private and secure?
Weddingkart’s privacy policy says it does not sell personal data or share guest phone numbers with third parties for marketing. It uses HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. WhatsApp delivery requires processing by Meta, and other essential providers may process limited data to operate the service. As with any online system, no storage method can be guaranteed 100% secure.
What guest data does Weddingkart store?
Depending on the features you use, this can include names, phone numbers, RSVP responses, headcounts, wedding and venue details, travel information, messages, and documents collected for wedding operations. Collect only what your hotel, venue, travel desk, or event team genuinely needs, and limit access to the people responsible for that work.
How long is wedding data retained?
Weddingkart’s published policy says wedding-specific guest lists and RSVPs are retained for up to 12 months after the wedding date unless earlier deletion is requested. Users can request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting Weddingkart. For agency or UAE contractual requirements, confirm the required retention and processing terms before launch.
Do I need guests’ consent before messaging or collecting documents?
Yes. WhatsApp requires businesses to obtain opt-in before messaging people, and the host or event manager is responsible for using guest data lawfully. Tell guests who is contacting them, why you need the information, how it will be used, and give them a clear way to decline or ask for deletion. Avoid collecting IDs unless a hotel, venue, travel, or legal process genuinely requires them.
Is Weddingkart compliant with privacy laws in India and the UAE?
Weddingkart’s public privacy policy expressly addresses India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and explains user rights, retention, security, and international transfers. The same public page does not make a specific UAE PDPL certification claim. UAE planners with data-residency, contract, or client-vendor requirements should review those needs with Weddingkart before purchase.
Plans, limits, and support
Match the plan to the job, estimate message volume, and keep a clear fallback for extra credits or managed help.
Does Weddingkart support phone or voice calls, or only WhatsApp messages?
Yes, two voice options run alongside WhatsApp messaging. Voice Call broadcasts record a message once and call every guest with it, billed per minute at a rate that varies by destination country (roughly ₹2.60/min within India; see the feature page for the full country-rate table). The AI Voice Agent goes further — it has a real spoken conversation with each guest to confirm RSVP and collect details like dietary preference, billed per connected minute. Both auto-refund failed calls (busy, no answer, invalid number), so you only pay for conversations that actually connect.
What are the message limits per wedding?
The free trial includes 30 credits. Basic includes 1,000 WhatsApp messages for one wedding. Standard includes 4,500 messages for one wedding. Enterprise includes 30,000 shared credits across 10 weddings. Extra message packs can be purchased without changing the wedding’s plan.
How many messages should I budget per guest?
Count every invitation, RSVP request, reminder, ceremony update, logistics note, and thank-you. Weddingkart estimates that a typical 300-guest, multi-event wedding may use around 2,400 messages and fit comfortably inside Standard’s 4,500 allowance. A 1,000-guest wedding with several ceremonies will likely need additional credits.
Is pricing per guest, per month, or per wedding?
Basic and Standard are one-time purchases per wedding, not monthly subscriptions and not per-guest charges. Enterprise covers 10 weddings with a shared credit pool. Voice AI calls and voice broadcasts are usage-based where available, so those calling costs are separate from the included WhatsApp messages.
Which plan should I choose?
Choose Basic when you mainly need to send invitations, directions, and reminders and do not need structured information back. Choose Standard for RSVP tracking, travel tickets, ID cards, guest attributes, Google Sheet sync, and destination-wedding logistics. Enterprise is designed for planners and agencies running a portfolio of weddings.
What if I run out of messages during the wedding?
Top up additional message credits in the app and continue sending; you do not need to rebuild the wedding or move the guest list. Plan message sequences in advance and keep a buffer for venue changes, weather updates, transport changes, and last-minute reminders.
Can someone operate Weddingkart for us?
Yes. Weddingkart offers an optional partner-operated service for teams that would rather have someone set up the guest list, send invitations, and maintain RSVP and travel updates through the wedding — coordinated with you over WhatsApp. This costs ₹4,999, paid directly to the partner rather than to Weddingkart, so confirm the scope and handoff before the wedding begins.
