Are Indian wedding expos worth it for B2B planners?

They are worth it for two narrow reasons: building direct relationships with couture houses, jewellers and venues, and seeing the latest product drops in person. They are a weak choice if your goal is business education - for that, the US conferences are a better use of the travel budget.

How much does a wedding industry conference cost end-to-end?

Wedding MBA is 10x the size, held in a Vegas convention hall, and built for practical business education across every vendor category.

Is DWP Congress still running in 2026?

Destination Wedding Planners (DWP) Congress has announced a 2026 edition in Macao, but at the time of writing the specific dates had not been published. We will add the dates here once the organizer confirms them.

Which wedding industry awards are actually worth applying to?

WOW Awards Asia (Mumbai, July 3–4, 2026) has the most credible jury process - submissions are audited by EY and the room is actual buyers and agency leads. GIWA (ICWF) is worth applying to for Indian wedding categories. Eventex Global Wedding Awards is a useful global credential if you work across markets. Avoid the "best wedding planner in [city]" directory awards that just resell listings.

What about GIFA in Ahmedabad?

The GIFA you may have heard about in Ahmedabad is the Gujarati Iconic Film Awards (gifa.co.in), which is the Gujarati cinema industry - not weddings. The other GIFA (gifaawards.com) is the Global Islamic Finance Awards. Neither is a wedding industry award, so they are not listed here.
